For many creation scientists, the past is the most compelling: we want to understand how the rock and fossil record formed in the context of a recent Creation and global Flood. Building these historical models, however, requires a wide range of research questions that involve process and paleoenvironment interpretations, as well as new method development.
The Permian Coconino Sandstone is widely recognized as an eolian ("wind-blown") dune deposit, with conspicuous, large-scale cross-beds that are interpreted as preserved dune foresets. Some creation scientists have contested the formation's eolian interpretation in recent years, but much work must still be done to build a robust, alternative model. Dr. Sarah Maithel will share her recent research on enigmatic sedimentary structures in the Coconino Sandstone, and on X-ray diffraction methods that were developed to better understand the structures. Her research illustrates that different types of projects - both historical and laboratory-based - are needed to build cohesive creationist models of Earth history.

Everywhere we go, national parks, books and museums assume the geologic column with its epochs, eons and periods lasting hundreds of millions of years. Mockers ridicule the "young earth creationists" as dimwits. Christian schools and churches struggle whether going against that strong current is worth it in the face of such uniform opposition, and many are at a loss to answer the scientific evidences presented in support of long ages.
In this talk, David Coppedge will present mainline evidence from multiple fields supporting the Biblical view that creation occurred only thousands of years ago, not billions: evidence from planetary science, geology, fossils, human history and Scripture.* David will explain why "deep time" presents more problems than solutions. Young-earth creationists believe the earth is about 6000 years old. This age is based primarily on genealogies given in the book of Genesis. Genesis provides a tight genealogy from Adam to Jacob. Later verses give the exact number of years between significant events (Abrahamic covenant to Moses' Law, Exodus to start of Solomon's temple and start of the divided kingdom to the Babylonian captivity). Knowing the age of the earth, Biblically, should give confidence to young-earth believers.
Following the genealogies also reveals some interesting facts. For example, the year of the Flood and the Tower of Babel, how many generations of his descendants that Shem outlived and Jacobs age when he left for Haran. Unfortunately, many pastors and theologians compromise with evolution regarding the age of the earth. This is regrettable and unnecessary. The genealogies are given for a purpose and they are not boring when studied together. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable, even the genealogies.
Rod J. Martin has held engineering and management positions in oil and gas, mining, and the electric power industries. His career has taken him from installing offshore oil platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel, to helping develop a pioneering tarsand mine in Northern Alberta, Canada, as well as expanding heavy oil production in California, operating oilfields in Texas, drilling oil wells in Wyoming, surveying for the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado, and managing a coal-fired steam-electric cogeneration plant in the Czech Republic. He holds an M.S. degree in geology (Cal. State, Northridge), a P.E. degree in petroleum engineering (Colorado School of Mines), an M.A. degree in Biblical counseling (The Master's College), and a D.Ed.Min. in Biblical counseling (Southern Baptist Theological Seminary). He has also taken additional graduate study in business, engineering, and theology. Rod is a Registered Professional Engineer in California and a certified Biblical counselor with ACBC. He has been a young-earth creationist since 1982.

Education systems and the media have repeatedly told us that humans and all living creatures evolved from a single-celled organism through random copying errors in the DNA (called mutations) and the reproductive filter of natural selection. This allegedly occurred over billions of years through unguided natural processes. Furthermore, we are told that the fossil record leaves no doubt that mankind evolved from ape-like creatures. Famous atheists like Richard Dawkins and Bill Nye tell us that we need to face the facts - we're nothing more than an organized assemblage of biomolecules: there is no ultimate basis for morality, no ultimate meaning to life, no free will, and no life after death; humans have no soul and we will never stand before God to give an account for our lives. Education systems and the media have repeatedly told us that humans and all living creatures evolved from a single-celled organism through random copying errors in the DNA (called mutations) and the reproductive filter of natural selection. This allegedly occurred over billions of years through unguided natural processes. Furthermore, we are told that the fossil record leaves no doubt that mankind evolved from ape-like creatures. Famous atheists like Richard Dawkins and Bill Nye tell us that we need to face the facts - we're nothing more than an organized assemblage of biomolecules: there is no ultimate basis for morality, no ultimate meaning to life, no free will, and no life after death; humans have no soul and we will never stand before God to give an account for our lives. As Dawkins says, "DNA neither knows nor cares. DNA just is. And we dance to its music." But what if the story we've been told about our alleged evolutionary ancestry is wrong, and the latest findings from modern genetics effectively falsify it?

He was alarmed at the amount of slick evolutionary propaganda throughout the museum. Two entire wings of the museum were devoted to Darwinist ideas, but problems with the fossil record, like the Cambrian Explosion, were treated lightly in small print. This leading "science" museum gives the public a highly distorted view of origins. David took a lot of pictures, which he will share in this presentation.
David was an invited guest speaker for Trinity College of Tampa, Florida. The event was led by Tom Woodward, an ID leader, author of two books, and founder of the C.S. Lewis Society. The group also had a day to tour the Museum of the Bible. The contrast between the two museums on opposite sides of the Mall, with the US Capitol visible between them, was striking."

Viruses are the most numerous biological creation on earth. In contrast to their bad reputation, most viruses are involved in supporting life on earth. Curiously, the viruses that cause illness in humans and mammals are fairly minor occupants of the human body compared to bacterial viruses and the viruses which appear to be part of our DNA. These observations are consistent with the idea that most viruses were part of God's very good creation, with some going rogue after the Fall.

The California as an island map gives us a snapshot of the Western United States and Mexico toward the beginning of the ice age. The Grand Canyon has not yet formed, and the uplift of the Western states has not begun. Only two major western mountain ranges have formed: The Rockies and the Wasatch range. The Sierra Nevada range and the coastal range does not appear on the map, and in light of the accuracy of the map in general, we can be fairly confident that this is because the were not yet there.
Why is this important to young earth creationist? This is the smoking gun that shows that the Atlantic Rift, the Sierra Nevadas and coastal range, the western states uplift, and the Grand Canyon, were formed, not millions of years ago, but in historical times.
Most important is that the map stands on its own. Creationists cannot be accused of manufacturing it because it has been around for over four hundred years and is based on sources obviously thousands of years old. Evolutionists have no way to respond to this, except to ignore it or call it a myth. But the accuracy of the map and the details it reveals testify to its validity.

Don Kennedy has been a student of young earth creationism since the '70s. Don graduated UCLA Engineering in 1976 with emphasis on Chemical Engineering. Don has worked 41 years as an engineer at U.S. Borax in Boron, California, mainly as process control engineer. Don led the Antelope Valley Creation Science Association from 2004 to 2008. Don's other interests are Old Testament history, armchair astronomy, playing bass guitar on the worship team, and lately, ham radio. Don and his wife Sharon have three adult children and nine grandchildren.

Evolution is a direct attack on God’s Word. It is philosophy, not science. The battle is theological, not scientific. This presentation will begin with a survey of the biblical description of God as Creator of heaven and earth. Following this several compromise positions between creation and evolution will be briefly discussed. The presentation will end with a quick look at the offshoots of evolution and a suggested response by the church.
PERSONAL BIO
Rod J. Martin has held engineering and management positions in oil & gas, mining, and the electric power industries. His career has taken him from installing offshore oil platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel, to helping develop a pioneering tarsand mine in Northern Alberta, Canada, as well as expanding heavy oil production in California, operating oilfields in Texas, drilling oil wells in Wyoming, surveying for the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado, and managing a coal-fired steam-electric cogeneration plant in the Czech Republic. He holds an M.S. degree in geology, a P.E. degree in petroleum engineering as well as an M.A. and a D.Ed.Min. in biblical counseling. Rod is a registered professional engineer and a certified biblical counselor. His interest in creation science started in 1982 after reading “Evolution: The Fossils Say No!” by Duane Gish.

Brief Overview:
Evolution is a direct attack on God’s Word. It is philosophy, not science. The battle is theological, not scientific. This presentation will begin with a survey of the biblical description of God as Creator of heaven and earth. Following this several compromise positions between creation and evolution will be briefly discussed. The presentation will end with a quick look at the offshoots of evolution and a suggested response by the church.
PERSONAL BIO
Rod J. Martin has held engineering and management positions in oil & gas, mining, and the electric power industries. His career has taken him from installing offshore oil platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel, to helping develop a pioneering tarsand mine in Northern Alberta, Canada, as well as expanding heavy oil production in California, operating oilfields in Texas, drilling oil wells in Wyoming, surveying for the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado, and managing a coal-fired steam-electric cogeneration plant in the Czech Republic. He holds an M.S. degree in geology, a P.E. degree in petroleum engineering as well as an M.A. and a D.Ed.Min. in biblical counseling. Rod is a registered professional engineer and a certified biblical counselor. His interest in creation science started in 1982 after reading “Evolution: The Fossils Say No!” by Duane Gish.

Is there an objective dating standard?Trees grow annual rings; and in lakes thin sediment layers called varves are deposited. Like radiocarbon, these are used as dating methods. It is claimed these methods agree with one another. But closer examination renders them questionable at best. The key to their misuse is circular reasoning, which only proves what is assumed to begin with. For instance, radiocarbon is calibrated against tree rings, but then the tree-ring master chronology is calibrated using radiocarbon. And varves are counted at one per year, but then the counts are corrected using the radiocarbon in organic debris found in the varves themselves. Thus there is no objective dating standard for these three methods. Instead, this forced agreement renders these dating methods totally unreliable. They cannot be used to discredit the Bible's timescale for earth's history.

How are the numbers that have been so widely cited faring as both the human and chimpanzee genome sequences are checked and refined and our understanding of the genome architecture improves? Is this an example of the evidence better supporting common ancestry as we understand more? Or is it an example of more research undermining the claims of Darwinism?
Timothy Standish was born in Sydney, Australia, but grew up in the Far East where his parents served as missionaries. He completed a BS degree in zoology with a chemistry minor and an MS degree in Biology while studying brachiopods at Andrews University in Michigan. At George Mason University, he was awarded a Ph. D. in environmental biology and public policy based on his research into molecular techniques useful for identification and classification of nematode worms.
As an educator Dr. Standish has taught in colleges and universities in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Nigeria, Austria, Kenya and the Philippines. He has also taught public high-school science classes in the United States and currently works closely with science teachers in Christian secondary and tertiary schools.
His publications cover topics ranging from the molecular basis of behavior in crickets, to Intelligent Design and public policy. In addition, he has authored many academic and popular publications dealing with faith and science. Production of films exploring the beautiful and elegant design evident in living things is another area in which he has been active. Interactions between science, faith and public policy are his primary interest at present. Dr. Standish is an active member of his church and holds the rank of Senior Scientist at the Geoscience Research Institute in Loma Linda, California.

Bill Morgan has been a Mechanical Engineer for the Navy 35 years. He helped design Nuclear Submarines.
He was raised in a Christian home, but he became an atheist in 9th grade when his Biology teacher taught that the Theory of Evolution was a fact - he believed it and knew that contradicted the Bible and thus thought the Bible was wrong on Creation, and thus not worth believing.
For 12 years he was an atheist, because he sincerely thought science had proved Evolution, and that belief in God was old fashioned and superstitious. But at the age of 26, he saw some science facts that contradicted the Theory of Evolution (the complete lack of fossil evidence) and these facts brought Bill to realize science supports God exists, and that humans are not related to ape-men. He is a home school dad.
Over the past 30 years he has taught over 1000 lessons, has debated many PhDs on college campuses, and leads a Creation ministry in Garden Grove.

An Overview of The Science of Textual Criticism
The Science of Textual Criticism is the basis for how scholars compile biblical manuscripts to create a master text that best represents the original autographs. This “critical text” is then used by translation committees to create most of the modern Bible translations we have today (i.e. ESV, NASB, NIV, etc.). It is recognized that we have more than 5,700 historical manuscripts supporting the New Testament, however the Critical Greek Text is based primarily on two greek manuscripts made public in the 1860s: one known as Codex Vaticanus and one newly “discovered” called the Codex Sinaiticus. Scholars and pastors commonly refer to these as the “oldest and most reliable manuscripts.” Textual critics say that these documents originate from the 4th century.
Museum of the Bible sells a reference book titled “Codex Sinaiticus: The Story of the World’s Oldest Bible” by D.C. Parker (Edward Cadbury Professor of Theology and Director of the Institute for Textual Scholarship and Electronic Editing, at the University of Birmingham, U.K., and the Executive Editor of the International Greek New Testament Project) which states:
Codex Sinaiticus is "one of the two oldest manuscripts of the whole Bible.” (cover page) “Even today, the two surviving major codices of the fourth century are the basis of almost all printings of the Greek Bible, and thus of translations of the New Testament into many languages. Codex Sinaiticus is one of these two.” (page 15) "The most important of these is Codex Vaticanus, a manuscript in the Vatican Library” (page 17).
Codex Sinaiticus is "one of the two oldest manuscripts of the whole Bible.” (cover page) “Even today, the two surviving major codices of the fourth century are the basis of almost all printings of the Greek Bible, and thus of translations of the New Testament into many languages. Codex Sinaiticus is one of these two.” (page 15) "The most important of these is Codex Vaticanus, a manuscript in the Vatican Library” (page 17).
However, many scholars over the last 100 years have challenged the assertion that these two documents are indeed the “oldest and the most reliable”, and if they should be allowed to have such a profound affect on the biblical text as compared to the majority of other Greek manuscripts that agree with each other 99% of the time. David Daniels documented his exhaustive research into Codex Sinaiticus in his book "Is the World’s Oldest Bible a Fake?," providing strong evidence that it is not a 4th century manuscript. The manuscript expert at the British Library stated in a documentary that although people say that Codex Vaticanus is a 4th century manuscript, “it actually looks like a 15th century manuscript.” Interestingly, the earliest recorded date of Codex Vaticanus is 1475 A.D. when it was first entered into the Vatican library.
Dr. Henry Morris of ICR stated that the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus texts "frequently disagreed with each other as well as with the Textus Receptus and also contained many obvious and flagrant mistakes." His complete article on this subject can be found in Appendix 21 of the New Defenders KJV Study Bible or on ICR's website at this link. Because these two manuscripts are littered with deletions, corrections, altered verses and apocryphal material, the result is a multitude of missing/bracketed/changed/footnoted verses throughout most modern Bibles. As D.C. Parker states in his book on Sinaiticus:

…the Codex was extensively revised by a succession of correctors...There are nearly 23,000 revisions (at an overall average of almost thirty on each page). Such a number is unique among ancient manuscripts….they also changed wording and sometimes deleted material.” (page 3) “Codex Sinaiticus did not include passages which would become well-known parts of the New Testament” (page 114), including “one of the most popular of all the stories in the Gospels, this event (found in most manuscripts at John 7:53-8:11) is missing from the oldest manuscripts, including Codex Sinaiticus” (page 110) but then Mr. Parker admits that “the oldest manuscript to contain it (Codex Bezae) was copied in around the year 400” (page 110).
D.C. Parker admits that “the great majority” of Greek New Testament manuscripts are Byzantine, which “means that they contain the form of text which was dominant from the seventh century onwards.” (page 101) This Byzantine text group, which represents 99% of the 5,700 Greek New Testament manuscripts, was the basis for all English New Testament Bible translations from 1525 to 1880.
The faith of famous theologian, textual critic, and New Revised Standard Version committee member Dr. Bart Ehrman was greatly affected by the science of textual criticism. Dr. Ehrman described himself as a “born again fundamentalist Christian” who studied at Moody Bible College, then Wheaton and finally Princeton where he was trained in textual criticism by Dr. Bruce Metzger, one of the editors of the critical text. Dr. Ehrman stated that once he began to study textual criticism he soon began to doubt the truth of the Bible itself, then whether or not Jesus Christ was God or merely a man, and finally even the existence of God Himself. He stated that “depending on which manuscript you read, the meaning is changed significantly.” He now refers to himself as “a happy agnostic.”

The Bible we now use can't be the inerrant word of God, he says, since what we have are the sometimes mistaken words copied by fallible scribes. Other differences concern how Jesus behaved...Nor are there words of forgiveness from the cross. Famous theologian and Textual Critic Daniel Wallace stated:
“Scholars are not sure of the exact words of Jesus… In truth, though red-letter editions of the Bible may give comfort to believers that they have the very words of Jesus in every instance, this is a false comfort.”
In contrast, the Bible states:
“Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Matthew 24:35
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2
"Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar" Proverbs 30:6

“Human Genetics and the Bible.” A fascinating and dynamic PowerPoint presentation on DNA including some very recent findings and how they relate to mutations. This talk is for the average layperson. It explains clearly the impact the Fall and curse of sin has had on our genome - which is clearly illustrated in modern genetics.
Helmut is a recently retired engineering manager with a Fortune 200 company. He holds BS and MS degrees in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois and has held positions in a variety of national and international assignments. He is a certified engineering manager, and in 2006 was elected to the board of trustees of IISE - an international society serving the Industrial and Systems Engineering profession. In 2012 he was honored as a “Fellow” of the IISE society.
Helmut is also president of the Quad-City Creation Science Association. Founded in 2008 they are dedicated to telling the truth in science education. He is a member of the Creation Research
Society and has recently been named an Ambassador/Speaker for Logos Research Associates.
In recent years he has become a popular speaker on Creation Science topics as well as Atheism

In October of 2004 Jim and Charlotte Liles took a class on the Book of Genesis. Our first lesson was to read the whole Book of Genesis. We were told that according to the Bible the Earth is between five and ten thousand years old. We were told to not get caught up in the numbers since there were gaps in the genealogy and an exact age of the Earth could not be determined from the Biblical text. Published Bible scholars are in agreement that the numbered years in the text of Scripture, from Creation to the Crucifixion of Jesus, are not part of the inerrancy of the text. This incorrect assessment of the text of Scripture explains the wide variety of dates in Bible Chronology. All claim to be Biblically based and yet require various changes to the text to fit mathematically incorrect theories.
After almost ten years of research, Jim Liles published his book titled: Earth's Sacred Calendar: The Dated Events of the Old Testament. This book gives very clear evidence that the numbered years in the Biblical text are the foundation on which the inerrant history and message of God's Word rests. This book also shows that the 364-Day calendar actually generates the solar and lunar Hebrew calendars used today. It can now be reasonably asserted that almost every specific date in Scripture is connected to a specific date on the Gregorian calendar that can be accurately calculated.

This discussion will help in laying out the questions to non-believers to show them the emptiness of their faith, and the great faith they have in nothingness.

Parasites are often ignored in ecology, despite providing far more connections that predators. Creationists ignore parasites even more than ecologists, missing out on some of the most interesting and diverse portions of God's creation. Many creationists ignore parasites because they are difficult to reconcile with a creation that God would call, "good." Grand Canyon: Monument to an Ancient Earth is the title for a 2016 diatribe against a flood-geology interpretation for the rock-record at Grand Canyon. The well-illustrated volume, authored by multiple Ph.D earth-scientists, and with major funding from the John Templeton Foundation and the American Scientific Affiliation, is promoted in all the National Park bookstores. Cover design, including title and font-style, obviously mimic the 22-year-old volume by Steven A. Austin, Grand Canyon: Monument to Catastrophe. The group that produced the new volume, Solid Rock Lectures, makes no effort to hide its aims: the extermination of young-earth teaching from all Christian academia.
The question remains: is the Canyon a monument to an ancient earth or to catastrophe? Rather than address the pejorative and illogic sprinkled throughout Ancient Earth, this presentation puts forth a positive case for why the Canyon's rock record accords better with powerful and discontinuous forces (catastrophe), not gradual and ongoing ones (ancient earth). As such, a flood-geology interpretation stands as utterly defendable.
What carved Grand Canyon? How was the layered rock in its walls formed? How old are the rocks in its bottom? Invoking millions of years helps in answering none of these questions. Catastrophist geology, on the other hand, is a necessary component for all three. The lecture draws from the speaker's "below-the-rim" experience in the Canyon as both researcher and in guiding multi-day back-pack and river-trips.

After critically examining origins for the first time, the conviction has never left him that the evolutionary/uniformitarian worldview is no harmless "science," but is aimed at the throat of effective Christian witness. There is terrific deception in this issue of origins, and he is happy to testify of "the mighty works of God" in earth history - including young and old, wise and foolish, and Greek and barbarian!

There is wide spread belief among Christian academics, based on genetic analysis, that there were many first “Adams” who evolved from animals, rather than a uniquely created perfect man. Alternatively, some theologians believe there was no first Adam, that he is instead a “concept” or “figurehead” rather than a physical creation of God.

He is the author of The Ocean Book and Guide to Animals, and co-author of The Fossil Record: Unearthing Nature's History of Life and The Human Body: An Intelligent Design, and is one of ICR's most sought-after speakers.

What is its origin? Did it form in a Big Bang event billions of years ago? Or are the heavens consistent with the Biblical account of creation instead?
The Big Bang is a popular creation myth within Western culture today. Secular cosmologists claim that this idea is a valid scientific theory, well-supported by the evidence. These claims are false. Not only is there abundant scientific evidence against the Big Bang, the model contradicts itself, and has absurd implications. An objective evaluation of the evidence does not support a self-creation of the cosmos—instead, the heavens declare the glory of God.
If you’ve seen the previous volumes in the series, you’ll know that they debunk secular models for the origins of celestial objects such as planets, stars, and galaxies. This volume does the same, but on a larger scale: instead of discussing the contents of the Universe, this video discusses the Universe itself. Often, people are intimidated by secular cosmology, because it involves complicated subjects such as relativity and quantum physics. But you don’t need to understand these theories to understand why the Big Bang model is fatally flawed. Even the most sophisticated scientific model is only as good as the assumptions that it is based upon. As an analogy: If the foundation of a skyscraper has deep structural weaknesses, it doesn’t matter how impressive the skyscraper itself might be. It’s still untrustworthy, and eventually, it will fail.
Volume III explores the fatal problems and self-contradictions that are built into the foundation of the Big Bang model. You don’t need to understand complicated physics to see why this model is false.

Bio: Until recently, Mark H. Armitage, B.S., M.S., Ed.S. served as the Manager for the Electron and Confocal Microscopy Suite in the Biology Department at California State University Northridge. He served with distinction for over 3 years and trained many faculty members and students in the use of complex microscope systems. He is currently seeking relief in a legal action for wrongful termination and religious discrimination by the University.
Mark taught botany, genetics lab and medical microbiology at Master’s College, and Biology 101 lab and electron microscopy at Azusa Pacific University over a 9-year period. He served as Executive Director of the Bible-Science Association, LA chapter from 1993-2000. He is a lifetime member of the Creation Research Society where he served as Financial Secretary on the Board of Directors from 2006 to 2015.
Additionally, since 2000, Mark has served on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis and was President of the Society for 4 years.

Topic: Debunking Human Evolution and Chromosome 2 Fusion

A major argument that humans evolved from a common ancestor with chimpanzees is the proposition that ape chromosomes 2A and 2B fused end-to-end, forming human chromosome 2. Allegedly supporting this idea is the apparent presence of a 798-base degraded “fusion site” on human chromosome 2. However, in 2002, an analysis of 614,000 bases encompassing the site discovered that it was located in a gene-rich region bearing no synteny to chimpanzee and the fusion sequence was positioned inside a putative pseudogene. In 2013, Dr. Tomkins expanded upon this data and published a report showing that the alleged fusion site is not a genomic fossil at all, but a functional domain inside an active and highly expressed gene (ARJ, 6:367–375). He reviewed the research and presented additional data from both the ENCODE and FANTOM databases that further bolsters the already clear evidence negating fusion – including new information showing the fusion site is a key point for gene transcript initiation.

He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from Clemson University in 1996. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked at a genomics institute and became a faculty member in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson. He had become a Christian as an undergraduate at Washington State University in 1982, with a goal to eventually work as a scientist and author in the creation science field. In 2009, Dr. Tomkins joined the Institute for Creation Research as Research Associate. He is the primary author of The Design and Complexity of the Cell.

David Dana-Bashian described 16 issues in cosmology, astronomy, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and information science that are nearly impossible for evolutionists to give any plausible scenarios. In his talk, he repeatedly shows how evolutionists’ attempts to answer these issues fall woefully short of fulfilling basic, well-known scientific laws, the very same laws they claim to uphold.
After nearly 40 years of studying creation/evolution and witnessing many others present their material, he created his lecture to cover a wide range of topics, many outside biological evolution, three of which may never have been discussed before by any creationists at all. Starting in July 2013, Mr. Dana-Bashian has now presented this talk seven times, besides speaking at the Backyard Skeptics vs. Christian Century Toastmasters monthly meeting.
Mr. Dana-Bashian is a former Senior Engineer Scientist for the Boeing Company. He continues to serve as an aerospace consultant following more than 20 years' experience in scientific programming and analysis, specializing in control systems. He has a B.S. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Mathematics, and a B.S. in Chemistry (ACS Certified), all from Purdue University.

In “The Heavens Declare”, Dr. John Hartnett, a physics professor at the University of Western Australia and co-author of the book “Dismantling the Big Bang”, explores how the other planets in our solar system are beautifully desolate compared to the abundance of life on Earth. Jonathan received his B.Sc. (hons) in Chemistry and his Ph.D. (Physical Chemistry) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He has co-authored papers in mainstream scientific journals including one on high-temperature superconductors published in Nature when he was 22 years old.
He has long been interested in apologetics, and was a co-founder of the Wellington Christian Apologetics Society (New Zealand). His first book Refuting Evolution (1999, 2008) was written to counter a teachers guidebook by the National Academy of Sciences (USA), Teaching about Evolution and the Nature of Science. It now has over 400,000 copies in print. He later wrote Refuting Evolution 2 (2002, 2010) and the highly acclaimed Refuting Compromise (2004, 2010), both as responses to attacks on the biblical view of history, plus the booklet Mammoth: Riddle of the Ice Age. Jonathan is co-author of the updated Creation Answers Book and 15 Reasons to Take Genesis as History (2006).
In 2008, he finished By Design: Evidence for nature's Intelligent Designer-the God of the Bible. And in 2010, Dr Sarfati wrote The Greatest Hoax on Earth? The Bible Science Association hosted a special event featuring two guest speakers presenting on the topic of DINOSAURS and the latest discoveries involving soft tissue, blood cells and other organic materials still present in dinosaur fossils.
Brian Thomas, Science Writer at the Institute for Creation Research, was our first guest speaker in an exclusive, two-way, live streaming presentation providing attendees the opportunity to interact with and ask questions of Mr. Thomas. The topic of Mr. Thomas' presentation was "How Original Tissue Fossils Confirm Recent Creation."
Mark Armitage was our featured in-house guest speaker who discussed his latest research on samples of Triceratops horridus frill and condyle collected at the Hell Creek Formation in Montana, which have yielded interesting and previously unreported findings of the presence of soft tissue.

Our guest speaker was Bill Hoesch, who earned a B.A. in Geology from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a M.S. in Geology from the Institute for Creation Research. Bill teaches undergraduate courses in Scientific Models of Origins and Introduction to Physical Science at Southern California Seminary.
Bill spoke on the topic of "Sand Injectites and the Sedimentary Rock Record", including the massive pillars jutting out of the ground throughout Kodachrome Basin State Park in Utah, and how they relate to the Biblical creation model.
The Featured Movie for the evening was "Ultimate Proof of Creation: Resolving the Origins Debate."
In this companion to his book by the same name, Dr. Jason Lisle presents an ultimate proof for the existence of God and the truth of creation. He goes beyond the battle over “evidence,” and demonstrates why and how we are to defend the faith. Dr. Lisle shows why secular worldviews cannot stand up to logical scrutiny, and how only the Christian worldview can account for the world we live in. Refreshing and powerful!

Dr. Jake Hebert from the Institute for Creation Research spoke directly to the BSA live from Dallas, Texas on "The Mystery of the Ice Age". ICR and the Bible Science Association worked together to offer an exclusive, two-way, live video conference presentation providing BSA attendees the opportunity to interact with and ask questions of Dr. Hebert.
Dr. Hebert earned a master’s degree in physics in 1999 from Texas A&M University, where he studied optics and was a Dean’s Graduate Fellow 1995-1996. He received his Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Texas at Dallas, where his research involved a study of the possible connection between fair-weather atmospheric electricity and weather and climate. He has taught at both the high school and university levels. He joined ICR in 2011 as a research associate, where he will have the opportunity to help extend Dr. Larry Vardiman’s work on climates before and after Noah’s Flood, among other research endeavors.

Dr. Jeffrey Tomkins earned a master’s degree in plant science in 1990 from the University of Idaho, where he performed research in plant hormones. He received his Ph.D. in Genetics from Clemson University in 1996. While at Clemson, he worked as a research technician in a plant breeding/genetics program, with a research focus in the area of quantitative and physiological genetics in soybean. After receiving his Ph.D., he worked at a genomics institute and became a faculty member in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson. He had become a Christian as an undergraduate at Washington State University in 1982, with a goal to eventually work as a scientist and author in the creation science field. In 2009, Dr. Tomkins joined the Institute for Creation Research as Research Associate. He is the primary author of The Design and Complexity of the Cell.

Few people who think that radiometric dating proves the earth is billions of years old really understand the underlying assumptions. Using simple illustrations, geologist Dr. Andrew Snelling examines these assumptions and equips viewers with information to counter their anti-biblical arguments. Though this topic can seem intimidating, Dr. Snelling boils it down to layman's level and walks the viewer through a basic understanding of the process used to date rocks and fossils. Using simple illustrations, the assumptions used to arrive at dates are exposed as faulty—and the evolutionary timescale along with them. Then, through several lines of evidence, including carbon-14 found in diamonds and fossils, the inconsistent nature of radiometric ages is revealed.
